What to Make of Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal

TabTrade — The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, that coverage is broad.

Platforms

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Good for beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Here is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before funding.
